“It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.” -The Twilight Zone.
I’ve been in the Twilight Zone… for a few years. Recently, I’ve revisited my old Tumblr and Blogspot. I’m being reminded of the blogger that I am. My whole life I’ve had journals, wrote stories, entered writing competitions, and naturally expressed myself through writing. I’ve been blogging for almost 10 years! I keep falling into the pattern of being inspired then something takes me off course and I stop blogging! It’s so sad when I do this. Especially, seeing how much enjoyment I get from creating and expressing myself through writing. It’s so fun interacting with people on my blog and having meaningful discussions. Don’t get me wrong… I love vlogging, podcasting, and being in front of the camera. Although, there’s something amazing and magical that happens when you’re sipping on a coffee and writing out your thoughts. You aren’t thinking of anything or anyone… you’re focused on pouring out your feelings and thoughts. You can re-read and revise. See your thoughts and sit with them. It’s really cool to look back and see how you were feeling. I keep tripping out on my blogs! I would go deep and I was 100% me. I revealed very real moments and raw feelings. I enjoy being open and sharing my thoughts. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how I need to stop being so open with everyone. I’m the kind of person who can connect with a stranger. I’m learning how to not give people too much of me. Meanwhile, blogging is still a great outlet to totally be myself and open!! Thank goodness!!
INTERACT, challenge, and make conversation with me! I love it! Blogging is not a one-way street for me! As much as people are challenging and upsetting…. I can’t help but be a people person. Connecting with people gives me such joy. I don’t write blogs to TALK AT people, I write them to share my experience and INTERACT with people who connect with what I’m saying. I encourage people with different perspectives to speak up and challenge my point of view. I enjoy stimulating conversation and feedback. Blogging is a great source to achieve all these things and I want to publicly make a commitment to do more!
I’ve included a few pics from my old blogs! Isn’t it fun to look back? Isn’t blogging and writing out your thoughts amazing?! Don’t be shy… let me know your thoughts!!
